The Drummer’s Way to
Musical Freedom
1-on-1 Classes, Live on Zoom.
Hi!
I’m Luca
Drums, Confidence & Good Vibes
About Me
Originally from a small Italian village, I’ve been playing drums for as long as I can remember. I’ve spent 6 years on Australia’s Gold Coast, 3 years around the UK, and made frequent trips to New York City to immerse myself in its music scene. These journeys have shaped how I live and feel music. Along the way, I also discovered passions for freediving, mixed martial arts, philosophy, and consciousness.
My Experience
Even after years behind the kit, I still wasn’t fully confident in my playing. I lacked vocabulary, creativity, and a solid grasp of theory.
That period of struggle pushed me into deep learning. I rebuilt my technique, mindset, and approach to the drums, discovering essential principles that completely reshaped my drumming.
None of this would have been possible without the guidance of inspiring teachers, such as Troy Wright (Architects, Plini), Dave Elitch (Miley Cyrus, Weezer), Bruno Farinelli (Il Volo, Lucio Dalla, Cesare Cremonini), Steve White (Paul Weller), Giovanni Cilio, and others.
Their guidance deepened my insight and shaped the principles that now define my teaching.
My Approach
I start with patience and genuine human connection, meeting each student where they are and helping them grow at a pace that feels natural, without pressure but always with purpose.
My teaching emphasises focused guidance, integrating breath control, relaxation, and shifts in perspective. This approach builds endurance and stamina while helping you experience music more deeply.
At its core, my approach is about letting go of everyday life and fully immersing yourself in the music. In this space, you’ll be free to focus, explore, and deeply connect with the drums as your skills grow.

The Way
At the heart of The Drummer’s Way is a journey to grow your skills, find your unique voice, and bring your musical ideas to life.
Let’s dive deeper…
-
These are the foundational elements of your drumming journey:
Technique & Physicality: Play freely without your body holding you back.
Drumming Vocabulary: Always have ideas to draw from and expand.
Theory & Musical Language: Read, write, and communicate music.
Creativity & Application: Break free from repetition and develop your own ideas.
Mindset & Philosophy: Explore rhythm as a universal language and tool for self-expression.
-
As your drumming roots take hold, you’ll discover new freedom behind the kit. Your musical ideas will flow directly through your hands.
This shift is transformative. You’ll no longer feel tied to sticking patterns or memorised phrases. Instead, every idea, every feeling, will flow naturally from thought to sound.
Music stops being a collection of exercises or notes on a page and becomes pure, unfiltered expression.
In this space, you may even experience the celebrated “flow state”, one of life’s most profound moments for musicians.
-
Once your roots are strong, we can explore advanced specialisations. whether it’s diving into a genre you love, refining techniques, or focusing on a personal project.
As you grow, your influences will blend and evolve, shaping a style that is uniquely yours. This is where your true voice emerges.
Like the seasons, your playing will keep transforming, each stage adding depth and color to your journey.
As your connection deepens, you may touch a flow of consciousness— where rhythm and thought dissolve, and music becomes not just something you play, but something you are.
-
The Drummer’s Way is built entirely around you — Every lesson and exercise is tailored to your level and ambitions.
As you grow, your journey evolves with you. This path is about developing and strengthening your individuality, while your drumming remains a living, breathing part of your life.

Yes! I can help you prepare for Rockschool (RSL) and Trinity College London graded exams.
I don’t believe music is about certifications at all. But if you’d like to pursue them, these exams are internationally recognised and can be a solid option for students aiming at academic studies or teaching.
In the UK, they also provide UCAS points for university applications.
